Brother Fortius Speed Paint

This was a speed painting I did of my new Deathwatch Space Marine, Battle Brother Fortius. He's an Imperial Fist who has been dispatched on a tour of duty in the Deathwatch. I did the speed painting quickly during a combat the rest of the players where doing as my character hadn't been introduced to the campaign yet, it was a long fight the final boss of the mission they where currently doing.

Brother Fortius was in the 5th Company of the Imperial Fists as a Devistator. During an Ork siege of the Fortress Chapel he was dispatched to Brother Fortius was the last man standing by the time the reinforcements had arrived. He still carries around a momento of one of his lost squad mates to remind him of the battle.

When the opportunity had arrisen for the Imperial Fists to send some of their number to the Deathwatch Fortius volunteered to learn more about the various Xenos that plague man kind.
